The trip to Bukit Gasing was held on 30 March 2019. This 100-hectare stretch of reserved forest is in Petaling Jaya. The objective of this trip is to help clean the forest park to ensure the survival of the habitat and be aesthetically pleasing. Cleaning the forest park was also our way is also of appreciating nature.

 

As soon as we arrived, we saw groups of people of varying ages exercising vigorously. We were excited to explore the reserve and begin the clean-up. We did a quick warm up outside the main entrance of Bukit Gasing in order to avoid any injuries or cramps during the hike. Then, we were given a binbag each so that we could collect any trash or rubbish as we hiked.

 

There were quite a lot of steep slopes and narrow trails which were challenging. So, we had to be very careful. We diligently picked up as all the rubbish that we could see until all our binbags were full. We were so proud of ourselves. It was a tiring day, but we had so much fun as we got to enjoy and preserve the beauty of Bukit Gasing.
